thank you for your kind words. you should get yourself a cheap pair and try it out... it's fun and if you do it right the paint lasts as long as the shoe does.

Alright, I'll think about it. What kind of paint do you use and what type of shoe accepts the paint well? I have oils, acrylics, and some crummy watercolors. Is it fabric paint that you use?

Acrylics. If you're going to use pens to do linework make sure they're waterproof. Apply the paint in thin even layers so that it adheres well to the canvas. Finish with weatherproofing spray (you can find it at most big shoe stores) or clear lacquer spray. And you're done!
